YESKAMO 5MP WiFi Security Camera System Review
I can’t say I’ve heard about this brand before but it is a high selling item on Amazon. So let’s see what this 5MP WiFi Security Camera System from YESKAMO has to offer.
It comes with 4 cameras and 1 NVR with 8 channels, which means you can connect up to 8 cameras total to the NVR. So if you want to upgrade at a later point with some more cameras you can do that.
Now the NVR supports up to 5MP cameras but the included cameras are only 3MP and records in 2048 by 1536 so that is something to be aware of if you are planning to buy this surveillance system. You can record 24/7 and the NVR comes with a pre-installed 1TB hard drive that should last for some weeks before it starts to overwrite old recordings.
These cameras uses built-in spotlights to record full color at night and you can use something called smart night vision, which means when the camera detects motion it turn on the spotlight and start to record in full color. When there is no movement it records in normal black and white infrared night vision.
They also support 2-way audio so you can talk and listen through the cameras as well as use an alarm siren if you want when motion is detected to scare away any intruders. And they also support AI human detection so they will only alert you when a human is detected. This will help reduce false alarms.
WiFi security camera system are easy to install and you should have no problem doing it yourself if you just follow the instructions. And maybe I should also mention that WiFi doesn’t mean they are wire-free, the cameras still needs power.
When reading the comments online it is mostly positive and people seems to like this budget security system. Someone complained that it doesn’t offer a cloud service, so if you want a cloud service maybe this kit is not for you.
