Unboxing and Setup:

The box contained everything I needed: the camera itself, a solar panel (big plus!), a charging cable, mounting bracket, user manual, and even a screw kit. Sweet! Setting it up was pretty straightforward. I juiced up the camera for a few hours (patience is key!), popped in a microSD card (optional, but handy for recordings), and downloaded the UBOX app. The app guided me through the connection process – pro tip: stay close to your Wi-Fi router during this step.

Dual Lens Power:

This camera’s coolest feature? The dual lenses! One offers a wide-angle view, perfect for capturing a broad scene. The other is a telephoto lens, letting me zoom in for those crucial details. Both lenses record simultaneously, merging the footage into a single, high-resolution (2304 x 2592) image. Pretty impressive!

Battery Life on Solar Power:

The camera runs on a hefty 10000mAh battery. It even comes with a solar panel for continuous charging, which is a game-changer for remote locations. However, the battery life depends on how often the camera wakes up for motion detection and recording. If you want it to last longer, place it in a low-activity area. The app lets you customize recording durations (from 5 seconds to continuous), which is a nice touch for optimizing battery usage.

Image Quality: It Gets the Job Done

The image quality is decent, not mind-blowing, but definitely enough to identify someone at a moderate distance. During the day, with the highest resolution setting, the footage looked crisp. At night, I tried both infrared mode (night vision) and using the spotlights. The infrared mode worked as expected, while the spotlights provided a clear, full-color view, which can be helpful for identifying specific details.

UBOX App: Functional, But Could Be Better

The UBOX app lets you monitor everything remotely from your phone. It sends push notifications when the camera detects motion, and you can view recordings directly within the app. Plus, you can adjust settings like video resolution, recording duration, and even enable two-way audio to talk through the camera! However, I found the app’s interface a bit clunky. It could be more user-friendly, but hey, it gets the job done.

Final Verdict:

Overall, the Sehmua dual lens PTZ security camera is a solid option. The dual lens system and PTZ functionality offer great coverage and flexibility. Battery life with the solar panel is a major plus, and the image quality is sufficient for identification purposes. While the app could be more intuitive, it still provides all the necessary controls. If you’re looking for a feature-rich, battery-powered security camera with solar charging capabilities, this one’s definitely worth considering!
