Reolink CX410C 4MP Bullet POE Security Camera Review
Today we’re taking a closer look at the Reolink CX410C 4MP Bullet POE security camera. I’ve personally tested this camera extensively over the past few weeks, putting it through various conditions to see how it performs in real-world situations.
Night Vision Capabilities
What’s really special about this security camera is its ability to record in full color at night without using its built-in spotlights. This works as long as there’s some ambient light present, like moonlight or distant street lighting. The built-in spotlight can kick in when motion is detected, or you can set a schedule if you want it to stay on all the time. It also comes equipped with infrared lights for normal black and white night vision when you’re dealing with total darkness.
Image Quality
The daytime image quality is ok, but this camera isn’t going to win any awards for having the best image quality. I’d say the maximum distance to identify someone or read a license plate is around 10 meters. Beyond that, it starts to get blurry.
I think at night, especially when using infrared lights, is where this camera really shines. The full color night vision works okay, but it tends to get blurry when there’s movement. If you want the best full color footage, I’d definitely recommend using the spotlight since it really improves the image quality and clarity.

Build and Features
Overall, it’s a well-built camera, made of metal that is easy to use and comes with many nice features. You can use the camera as a standalone device and record locally to a microSD card, or you can connect the camera to an NVR. It supports ONVIF, and I tested the camera using ONVIF Device Manager without any problems. Just remember you have to turn on RTSP and ONVIF in the camera settings first before using it.
Technical Specs
The camera uses a 4MP sensor that records in 2560 by 1440 with a maximum of 30fps. It comes with a 4mm lens, so the field of view isn’t the greatest with 77 degrees horizontal and 42 degrees vertical. Motion detection is great as with most Reolink cameras, and it supports Vehicle, Person, and Animal detection.
You can get instant push notifications to your phone when motion is detected, which you can then view directly from playbacks saved on the microSD card. And it supports up to a 256GB microSD card.
It also supports two-way audio so you can talk and listen through the camera. You can also use the motion-activated alarm siren and spotlight to scare away any intruders.
Installation and Weatherproofing
One aspect I particularly appreciated was how straightforward the installation process was. The camera comes with all necessary mounting hardware, and its IP67 weatherproof rating means it can withstand harsh outdoor conditions without issue. I’ve had it installed through several rainstorms without any problems. The POE (Power over Ethernet) functionality also simplifies installation since you only need to run a single cable for both power and data.
Value
At $75 on Amazon, this camera offers solid value for the features you’re getting, especially considering its night vision capabilities.
Bottom Line
This Reolink camera delivers excellent night vision performance in a durable package. While the daytime image quality is merely adequate and the field of view is somewhat limited, the camera makes up for these shortcomings with its versatile recording options, reliable motion detection, and user-friendly features. For anyone looking to enhance their home security without breaking the bank, the CX410C provides a compelling balance of performance and affordability that’s hard to beat in this price range.
