REOLINK 12MP Security Camera System Review – RLK8-1200B4-A
This is a top of the line security camera system from Reolink, that comes with a whopping 12MP cameras. If you are tired of blurry and pixelated security camera footage, then this might be what you are looking for.
This surveillance system comes with four cameras and a NVR with a pre-installed 2TB hard drive that should last for sometime before it starts to overwrite old recordings. But if you want in the future you can add another 12TB hard drive to it. The NVR supports up to a total of 8 cameras so if you in the future want to add more cameras or Reolink POE doorbell for example you can do that.
The cameras (B1200) are using a 12MP sensor that records in 4512 X 2512 at a maximum of 20fs. And these cameras will only work with Reoink NVR’s so you can’t use them as standalone cameras. And you won’t have many false alarms either with this system since they supports AI detection and can tell the difference between human, vehicles and pets.
They use a 2.8mm lens with a 118° field of view and they also have built-in spotlights for full color night vision. Of course they also have infrared lights for normal black and white night vision. And they are powere using PoE (Power over Ethernet) so you only need one network cable from the NVR to the camera and it will provide both power and send data.
So very easy security camera system for any DIY’s out there. You don’t need any special tools or knowledge to install a surveillance system like this.
