PANOOB POE Security Camera System Review
Are you looking for a high megapixel surveillance system? Then this PANOOB POE Security Camera System with model number PB0608-6M might be worth taking a closer look at. I can’t say I’m familiar with this brand but in this post we will see if its worth buying or not.
What you get in this kit is 6 Bullet IP cameras that uses a 6MP sensor that records in 3072 x 2048 at 20fps, and they are using a 2.8mm wide angle lens. It also comes with a NVR that can record up to 4K. And it has 8 channels which means you can have up to 8 cameras. And the decoding capability is 2x4k@30fps, 3x5MP@30fps, 4x4MP@30fps.
It has a pre-installed 2TB hard drive and it uses H.265+ high-efficiency video compression so the 2 terabyte should last for awhile before it starts to overwrite old recordings. Ans this security camera system uses POE (Power Over Ethernet) so you only need one Ethernet cable from the NVR to the camera and it will give both power and data.
These 6MP Panoob IP cameras comes with a built-in microphone for audio recording, they don’t have a speaker so you can’t talk through the cameras or use an alarm siren. For night vision they use infrared lights with a distance up to 100ft.
You can place these cameras outdoor even in the rain since they have a IP67 rating, which is really good. This system also support something called smart detection, which means the cameras can tell the difference between human and vehicles. You can also set up detection zones and how you want to get notified when motion is detected, for example email or an APP.
And you don’t need to connect the NVR to your router, it works without internet however if you want remote viewing and get push notifications you will need a internet connection.
I had a look at the reviews as well on Amazon and overall people are happy with it. What they like the most is the image quality and the audio quality. Someone mentioned that it was difficult to see the playbacks.
