What we got here is a home surveillance system from Lorex. This kit comes with 8 4K/8MP bullet IP cameras and a 8 channel NVR with a pre-installed 2TB hard drive, which isn’t that much storage to be honest when recording 24/7 using eight 4K cameras, but when the hard drive is full it will automatically delete and overwrite old recordings.
It also comes with a smart sensor kit that you can place on doors and windows and when opened you get a push notififation in the Lorex app.
The cameras records in 3840 x 2160 with a 108 degrees viewing angle. They support 2-way audio so you can talk and listen through the cameras and it also have something called “Active Defense” so when any of the cameras detect motion it can turn on the spotlights and a siren to scare away any intruders.
This is a POE system so very easy to install. All you need is one network cable for each camera from the NVR which will provide both data and power to the camera.
And since the cameras have built-in spotlights it can record video at night in full color, which is nice. It also uses infrared lights.
You can place these cameras outddors in the rain or direct sunlight since they have a IP67 rating.
Overall the reviews on Amazon are positive, so if you are looking for a affordable home security system this might be worth checking out.
