Jennov 1080p WiFi Bullet IP Camera Review

This is a small WiFI IP camera from a company called Jennov. It is a weatherproof camera that records in 1080p using a sony CMOS sensor and comes with a standard lens of 3.6mm and with a viewing angle of 80 degrees.

The camera supports up to 128GB MicroSD card for local storage and it uses something called loop recording, which means it will automatically delete old recordings and replace them with new ones when the SD card is full.

It has 2-way audio so you can talk and listen through the camera. For night vision it uses 18 infrared LEDS with distances up to 30m.

It supports ONVIF so the camera should have no problem working together with other brands that support ONVIF. And with P2P it is really easy to get the camera up and running with your smartphone and you can access the camera from any smart device or using your PC.

You can get email or app notifications when motion is detected. It also has something called smart playback making it much faster to find the important recordings from motion detection.

What you get in the box is a user manual, Jennov warning stickers, a software download card, 1m ethernet cable, a power adapter, screws, cable connector cover, the antenna, and of course the camera.

To connect to the camera with your smartphone you need to download an app called “CamHi” from either Google Play Store or App Store.

When the app is installed connect the camera to the power cable you don’t need to use the ethernet cable if you are going to use wifi. Then go to your phone’s wifi settings and find the camera, it’s named IPCAM followed by a bunch of numbers. Add the default password which is 01234567 and click connect.

Now head over to the app and click “add camera” then “search camera from LAN” and the camera will show up then click done. Go to settings and then wifi settings and find your wifi and enter your password and now the camera should be connected to your wifi.

The next setting you probably want to go to is alarm settings. Here you can turn on and off motion detection and a nice feature is you can choose where on the screen you want motion activated. You can also change how sensitive you want motion detection to be between the numbers 0-100.

In action with alarm setting you can turn on and off how you want motion detection to be saved and how you want to be notified when the camera is triggered.

The app has most of the settings you would need for a security camera and is easy to use and understand.

You can of course access the camera from your PC as well if you want, either from your browser or by downloading a PC client called HiP2P from Jennov website.

To use the 2-way audio make sure you have the volume turned on and then you just click on the microphone and then you can talk through the camera.

Our Verdict

It is a decent camera for the price. During the daytime the image quality is good but at nighttime, it could have been a little better. Very easy to install and get the camera up and running with the App.

The best thing about this camera is probably the App which has most of the settings you would need and is easy to use and understand. If you looking for a budget camera that is easy to install, supports Onvif, and with local storage, Jennov might be worth checking out.
