This 8MP 4K camera records in 3840 by 2160 at 25fps and the image quality is really good. If you don’t know what lens you need then this is the camera to get since it uses a 2.7-13.5mm varifocal lens. This means at 2.7mm you get a very wide field of view and at 13.5mm a zoomed-in narrow field of view.

Another nice feature is that the camera has 5 built-in spotlights which means it can record in full color at night. It also has 4 infrared lights for normal black and white infrared. View full review on YouTube.

The zoom speed isn’t very fast on this camera but it doesn’t really need to be because after you adjust the lens you will probably not use it again, at least not very often. It’s not like an auto-tracking camera where it needs to be fast not to lose the target. You can use the camera as a standalone camera or connect it to any NVR that supports ONVIF. It supports up to 256GB MicroSD card for local storage.

It also supports 2-way audio so you can talk and listen through the camera. The Reolink RLC-811A is powered using POE (Power over Ethernet) so all you need is a network cable from either a POE NVR or you need to use a POE switch or injector.

This is a really nice auto-tracking security camera that uses two lenses. One is a wide-angle lens that records in 4K while the other lens records in 1080p with a more zoomed-in view. A camera can track just like a normal PTZ camera by Pan and Tilt but it can also track digitally with the 1080p lens while the camera is not moving, that way you will have a wide-angle lens that covers everything while the other lens will track humans or cars within the cameras field of view.

You can get this camera in a few different versions, POE, WiFi, and battery-powered. The Reolink Trackmix works as a standalone camera but you can also use it with Reolink’s NVRs or other brands as long as they support ONVIF. View my full video review on YouTube.

It also has built-in spotlights for full color night vision and you can choose between 3 different night vision modes. You have full color, which means the camera will record in full color all night, then we have smart night vision which means the camera will record in black and white using infrared lights until motion is detected, and then the camera will turn on the spotlights and start record in full color. Reolink RLC-810A

If you don’t need a varifocal lens or spotlights then this is a great camera with amazing image quality. I would say the image quality is just as good as the RLC-811A but it doesn’t have as many features and this is a smaller camera as well, which can be positive. I’ve actually compared these two cameras as you can see in the video below.

The RLC-810a uses an 8MP sensor that records in 3840 X 2160 at 25fps with a 2.8mm wide angle lens but you can also buy the camera with 4mm and 6mm lens. It supports human and vehicle detection and Reolink’s AI detection works really well so you will not get many false alarms with this camera.

And it is a POE camera so it will get both power and send data using only an Ethernet cable. You you are using the camera without a POE NVR you do need a switch or injector unless you power the camera with a power adapter, which also works fine.

Also supports up to 256GB MicroSD card however this camera does not have a speaker so you can’t talk through this camera but it does record audio. Supports ONVIF and time laps and of course, it works with the Reolink APP for remote viewing and to get instant push notifications when motion is detected. 

Best Reolink Ultra Wide Angle Security Camera

This is their latest dual lens 180-degree wide angle lens camera. This camera records in 4608 X 1728 at 20fps and it uses a 3.2mm lens. Unlike the old Reolink Duo, this camera combines the two lenses into just one file, so it will look just like it records with just one lens.

The field of view is 180° so you basically get the same coverage as two standard cameras. And just like the other cameras in this list, it supports AI detection to help get precise detection and avoid false alarms. 

The Reolink Duo 2 is also weatherproof, with an IP66 rating, which means it is protected against dust, dirt, and water. Additionally, it has a durable design that is built to withstand extreme temperatures and weather conditions.

It works with all Reolink IP cameras, 4MP, 5MP, and 8MP can be connected. This security system works without an internet connection but for remote viewing, it needs to be connected to your router.
