Best Cheap Outdoor WiFi Pan-Tilt IP Security Camera 2023 Under $50
Are you looking for a security camera on a budget? Then you have come to the right place. In this article I will list some of the best cheap outdoor WiFi Pan-Tilt IP security cameras 2023 that I’ve been testing over the last year.
All of the cameras in this article cost under $50 at the time of making this comparison. And all the cameras are connected using WiFi but that does not mean they are wireless, they still need power. None of the cameras in this comparison are powered using POE (Power Over Ethernet).
PTZ cameras are great if you need to move the camera to different positions quickly. Some cameras support preset points which means you have a pre set position that you can call and the camera will Pan and Tilt to that position fast without you have to do it manually.
Some cameras using two lenses which means they have optical zoom and that is preferable if you need a zoom camera. Digital zoom is often very bad image quality unless you use a really high megapixel camera.
OK, so let’s have a look at the best cheap outdoor WiFi PTZ security cameras 2023 under $50.
Best Camera Overall
Boavision Dual-Lens
This is my favorite camera overall. This camera uses two lenses, one 2.4mm wide angle lens and one 12mm telephoto lens, which mean the camera has 4x optical zoom. So best image quality you will have at 1x and 4x zoom, everything between is done digitally.
The camera only records one file, so which lens the camera uses depends on what zoom is being used. The camera will automatically switch between the two lenses when you zoom. It also supports Human tracking so the camera will follow and record when a human is detected. You can also set preset points so the camera can quickly move to a new position.
Can be used with most brand NVR’s or software since it supports ONVIF. You can also talk and listen through the camera using two way audio.
Best Built Camera
Boavision 4mp All Metal
The camera with best build quality is without a doubt the Boavision all metall. The whole camera is made of metal so I’m sure this camera will last a very long time. And to be honest I was surprised that they can make a camera with this quality for under $50.
Now, the problem I had with my camera was that it was never really in focus, which I think might just have been something wrong with my camera. Otherwise this would have been my overall best camera.
It records in 2560 by 1440 and also supports auto tracking and preset points. This camera records at night using infrared lights for black and white night vision but can also record in full color at night using the built-in spotlights.
Best 4K Under $50
Besder 4K 8mp WiFi PTZ camera
For being a 8mp recording in 4K the image quality isn’t that impressive but for a camera under $50 I thin the image quality is acceptable. This camera also supports auto tracking however it can only Pan when tracking, not Tilt. Uses smart AI human detection, which means based on the shape of the object the camera can tell if its a human or not.
The camera can Pan 270° and Tilt 100° and it can be connected to most brands NVR’s or software since it supports ONVIF.
You can use this camera with a app called iSCee and get instant push notifications when the camera detects motion, which you can then view directly in the app saved on the Micro SD card. And you can use up to 128GB. They also offer a cloud subscription but that’s optional and nothing you need for the camera to work.
Cheapest PTZ Camera on Amazon
Anran P2 Outdoor WiFi Pan & Tilt IP Security Camera
The Anran P2 is one of the cheapest PTZ security cameras on Amazon. This camera records in 1080p at 15fps. Unlike all the other cameras on this list, this one doesn’t supports auto tracking or preset points.
It can Pan 355° and Tilt 90° and this camera works with an app called Cloudedge. You can not connect this camera to an NVR or any other software than the app. Supports up to 128GB FAT32 format Micro SD card. Or you can use their cloud service if you want.
This camera also comes with built-in spotlights for full color night vision and of course it can also record in black and white night vision using the infrared lights.

Security cameras can be an effective way to protect your home or business, but there are pros and cons to purchasing cheaper options. Here are some of the main pros and cons of cheap security cameras:
Pros:
1. Affordability: The most obvious advantage of cheap security cameras is their affordability. They are typically much less expensive than high-end options, making them accessible to people on a tight budget.
2. Easy to Install: Cheaper cameras are often simpler in design, making them easier to install and set up. Many models require only a few screws and a Wi-Fi connection to get started.
3. Good for Temporary Use: If you need a camera for a short-term event or project, a cheaper option may be the way to go. These cameras can be a good choice for those who need a temporary security solution.
Cons:
1. Lower Quality: The most significant disadvantage of cheaper security cameras is the lower quality of the video footage they capture. Cheaper cameras often have lower resolution and lower quality image sensors, which can result in blurry or pixelated footage.
2. Limited Features: Cheaper cameras may not have all the features you need to fully protect your home or business. They may not have motion detection, night vision, or other advanced features that can be crucial for security.
3. Shorter Lifespan: Cheaper cameras are often made with lower quality materials, which can lead to a shorter lifespan. Cheaper models may also be more susceptible to damage from weather and other environmental factors.
4. Limited Customer Support: Cheaper security camera brands may not offer the same level of customer support as higher-end models. This can make it more difficult to troubleshoot issues and get the help you need when you need it.
In conclusion, cheaper security cameras can be a good option for those on a budget, or for those who need a temporary solution. However, they do come with certain trade-offs, including lower quality, limited features, shorter lifespan, and less robust customer support. It’s important to weigh the pros and cons of cheaper security cameras before making a purchase, to ensure that you are getting a camera that meets your needs and budget.
